Mediúscula wins the competition to make the educational and informational project of the botanical itinerary in the thematic gardens of Montjuïc.

Mediúscula creates a comprehensive program that incorporates the use of ITC to put the visitors in direct touch with the rich biodiversity of the gardens and their landscapes. Mediúscula designs an informational system to make a self-guided botanical itinerary through the park, which provides all the visitors with the necessary informative, educational and interactive documentation. This documentation is accessible from computers and mobile devices with adequate benefits.

Mediúscula publishes the book EDIFICI VELA, a tribute to this new architectural icon for the city of Barcelona: the Hotel Vela. The book, written by those who have done a really big project, reflects the process of building this new landmark of our city.

W Barcelona, more popularly known as Hotel Vela is a building designed by Ricard Bofill Leví, located in Barceloneta district (Ciutat Vella) of Barcelona. It is part of the hotel chain Starwood Hotels and Resorts, marketed under the brand name W Hotels and that is part of the southern expansion of the Port of Barcelona.

Today started in Jyväskylä (Finland) the 7th Small and Portable Planetarium meeting organized by the Kallioplanetaario.

Antares, co-producers along with Mediúscula of the complete dome film TOPOS, WHAT'S OUT THERE?, attended the congress to present this new production.

The film is aimed at children between 4 and 8 years and has aroused great interest among industry, since the children's productions are a desired type of content in many planetariums.

The new production MOLES FullDome will be presented by Antares at the IPS 2010 fair (International Planetarium Society Conference) held between 26 and 30 June 2010 at the Library of Alexandria (Egypt).

Antares, coproducer of MOLES FullDome together with Mediúscula, intends to complete pre-sales with planetariums around the world.

On 3 June 2010, the advertising company Bail Out gave a presentation on FullDome technology at the immersive cinema at the Barcelona Maritime Museum, together with Immersive Adventure and Antares.

Mediúscula attended the presentation, where samples of immersive films on various subjects aimed at all kinds of audiences were presented. The showing of MOLES gave an idea of the possibilities of the FullDome format among a child audience.

The purpose of the presentation was to publicise FullDome technology in the advertising sector, either to create advertisements in this format or to carry out brand presentations in this high-impact, innovative format.

Mediúscula, together with Antares, is currently coproducing two FullDome films for digital planetariums aimed at children aged between four and eight.

The FullDome format allows spectators to enjoy a new audiovisual experience in a complete dome, which is now beginning to become known as immersive cinema.

Mediúscula experienced Saint George's Day with great enthusiasm and set up three bookstalls at three points in the city: Passeig de Gràcia, Carrer Muntaner and Plaça Joaquim Folguera.

We have made the most of it for promotion and we have given away MOLES balloons to children passing in the street. In this way, our moles have been for walks all over Barcelona! Happy Saint George's Day everyone!

The Frankfurt Book Fair is the most important event in the world for publishers. Since 1988, every fair has had an area devoted to promoting a guest country. This year, the Catalan culture has been the guest of honour. This made it the best possible shop window for Catalan authors and the Catalan book industry. But it is not just literature that has played a leading role at this year's fair, which took place between 9 and 14 October. Catalan culture has also occupied an important place, with an extensive programme that has brought almost 700 artists from different disciplines to Frankfurt.

Mediúscula has attended the Frankfurt 2007 Fair and has had the chance to present its multimedia project MOLES to other publishing companies from around the world, which received it with great interest.

The work MOLES and the respective workbooks were exhibited on the Guild of Publishers' joint stand. Mediúscula had the chance to show the video demo MOLES on the same stand.

Mediúscula has received third prize in the 6th Bible Competition organised by the University of Barcelona together with the University Pastoral Organisation and the Archdiocese of Barcelona. The theme was "Acts and stories of love in the Bible".

The research work presented by Mediúscula was entitled “Compañía y acompañamiento en la película Ordet (La palabra) de Carl Theodor Dreyer” (Company and accompaniment in the film Ordet (The Word) by Carl Theodor Dreyer) and is a study of one of the great all-time masterpieces of film-making drawing parallels between the acts and stories appearing in the Bible and the characters in Ordet.
